September 21st is the International Day of Peace. Let’s look at some people who work for peace.

Leymah Gbowee grew up in Liberia. There was a civil war there. She formed a group of Christian and Muslim women. They protested for peace. This helped end the war. In 2011, she won the Nobel Peace Prize.
