April 22nd is Earth Day. People celebrate nature on Earth Day. Let’s look at some of the wonderful things in nature.

Glaciers

You can find glaciers in very cold places. Glaciers are thick blocks of ice. Glaciers actually move like very slow rivers.

Rain Forests

You can find rain forests in warm places. They are warm, wet forest areas. They are full of living things. Over half the world’s plants and animals live in rain forests.

Streams

Streams are small rivers. Sometimes they are dry.  Sometimes they are wet. They are filled with microorganisms [tiny animals so small you cannot see them.] They clean the water as it moves towards rivers and oceans.
