It is good to be polite. It is a way to show respect to others. Let’s look at ways to be polite.

You can show respect when you meet a new friend. You can say, “Hello.” You can say, “Nice to meet you!”

It is good to be polite. It is a way to show respect to others. Let’s look at ways to be polite.

When you talk to someone, you should face them. Do not talk when they talk. Look at them. Do not do other things while they talk. Use polite words such as “please,” “thank you,” and “you’re welcome.”

Following the rules shows respect.  Many rules in school show respect. You can raise your hand. You can wait your turn in line. You can stay quiet in the hallway while other classes are learning.
