What Is Immigration?

Immigration is moving to another place. When people immigrate, they move to a new country. They plan to stay there. This student has documents to help her. She can move to a new country.

These people are new citizens of the United States. How do people become new citizens? They need to live in the United States for at least five years. They have to pass a test. It has questions about the United States. They get rights as new citizens. They also make promises to be good citizens.

old country. So, they live with other people from their old country. This statue
