Sea Caves in Two Seasons

Look at this sea cave. It is on Lake Superior. Check out the opening in the rock. In summer, you could paddle a boat through it.

In winter, a sea cave becomes an ice cave! The weather is cold. The top of the lake freezes. The water becomes solid ice. You could walk on it! Look at all the icicles. They are frozen water, too. Water in the rock freezes as it drips down.

The ice can be beautiful! Many people like to explore ice caves. The weather must stay cold enough for the ice to stay solid.
