Thanking Essential Workers

Many workers take care of us. Who are these workers? How can we thank them?

You might hear the words “essential workers” in the news. The word essential means “needed.” This person works in a grocery store. We all need grocery store workers. They help keep us fed.

What essential workers do you know? We need people who take care of our health, like doctors, nurses, and dentists. We need police officers. We need farmers. People who pick up our garbage and deliver our mail are essential, too. What other workers do we need?

Say thank you to an essential worker. You can write a thank you note. Tell a worker how they help you. Tell them how you feel about it. A note will make them happy.
