Amazing Architect: Félix Candela Outeriño

Meet Félix Candela Outeriño. He was an architect. He designed many important buildings. Candela was born in Spain. He moved to Mexico as an adult.

Candela designed many famous buildings in Mexico. This building is called the Sports Palace. It was built for the Olympics in 1968. This building is special because of the shape of the roof. What does it look like to you?

Candela also helped design these buildings in Spain. They
are part of an oceanarium. Many ocean animals live there. Do you see the big
arches? Candela used concrete to make these thin arches. His work inspired many
people.
