Mask Up!

This year, school looks different. Why are people wearing
masks?

Masks can help stop the new coronavirus. Scientists have
learned how it spreads:

  1. Someone who has the virus sneezes or talks.
  2. Tiny drops come out of their mouth.
  3. These drops land in the mouth or nose of someone
    nearby.

A mask blocks the drops. It stops the virus from spreading.

Many people who have the virus feel fine. They don’t know
they have it. But they could still spread the virus. That is why it is
important to wear a mask.

What Can You Do? Wearing a mask is one way to stay
healthy. Here are other things you can do:

  • Stay at least six feet from others.
  • Wash your hands often.
  • Try not to touch your face.
