How Do Airplanes Fly?

Airplane wings have a special shape. They are curved on the top. They are flat on the bottom. Airplanes can fly because of this special shape.

Air goes faster over the top of the wing. Air goes slower
under the bottom of the wing. This lifts the airplane into the air.
