Colorful Beads

Look at all the different shapes and colors! Have you ever made a craft with beads? Some beads are made of glass.

How are glass beads made? Pieces of clear glass are heated. The glass is turned round and round. Then, a piece of colored glass is heated. It is rolled onto the clear glass. Many colors and designs can be added. 

The glass is shaped before it cools off.

Beads can be made into different things. Some are used for decorations. Others can be used to make jewelry. Grab a string!
