March is Women’s History Month. We celebrate women who have made a difference! Some women have made a difference in sports.

Serena Williams plays tennis. She was four years old when she started. Williams has been the number 1 women’s player in the world eight times. She also played tennis with her sister, Venus. They won a lot of games!

the 2021 Super Bowl? Three women made history there!
Sarah Thomas is a referee. She was the first woman referee in a Super Bowl game. Maral Javadifar and Lori Locust are coaches. They were the first winning female coaches in the Super Bowl. Locust is a coach for the Tampa Bay defense. Javadifar is a trainer for the team.

Women’s World Cup Final was the last game of a women’s soccer tournament. The
United States team played against Japan. The United States team won 5-2. The
United States team became the first team to win three Women’s World Cup Finals.
