In December, there is a special day. It’s the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. But what is a disability?

People have different ways of moving and getting around. This boy has a leg that is not real. He plays basketball with his family. Someone in your family might have a cane. The leg and a cane are just two ways people get around.

needs a wheelchair to get around. Many playgrounds have ramps. People with
wheelchairs roll up and down the ramp. What if you see someone with a
disability at the playground? Don’t be sad or worried! All people like to play
and have fun.
