Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head!
What does it mean if the weather says it is going to rain? It means small drops of water fall from the clouds. We need rain for things to grow. Some days we get a little rain. Other times rain can last for many days. Puddles form when it rains a lot in a short time.

Heavy rain can make the puddles too big. The extra water covers dry land. This is called a flood.

Floods can cause damage. Water can come inside buildings. It can carry trees and garbage. Floods are strong enough to carry a person or a car. Stay safe on high ground. Do not play near flooded areas.
