Inventors Have Big Ideas

Inventors are problem solvers. They find solutions. They make new things. Years ago, people used candles for light. This was not always safe. An inventor created a light bulb. The light bulb made life better.

Thomas Edison was an inventor. When he was young, he lost most of his hearing. This helped him concentrate on his inventions. He had a lot of ideas.

Edison invented the phonograph. We call it a record player. It was the first machine to record and play sounds. The phonograph was Edison’s favorite invention. It helped him hear music!
