Why Do Basketballs Bounce?
Have you ever played basketball? It’s fun to play with friends! Basketballs are filled with air. Without air, basketballs wouldn’t bounce.

When a basketball is full of air, you can dribble. You dribble by bouncing the ball between your hand and the ground. First, you push the ball toward the ground. Then, the ground will push it back up to your hand. Do this over and over. You are dribbling!

Basketball is fun. You bounce the ball a lot. You dribble. You bounce pass to a teammate. You bounce the ball off the backboard and into the net. Score!
