Let’s Learn About Landforms

Landforms are natural features on Earth’s surface. Earth has many types of landforms. There are wide open areas. These areas are plains. Plains can stretch for miles. Plains can be good places to grow crops. Many animals live on the plains.

Landforms can be different shapes. Landforms can be different sizes. Mountains are tall. Mountains can be shaped like cones. The top of a mountain is a peak. The tallest mountain in North America is Denali. Denali is in Alaska.

A plateau is a landform, too. Plateaus are tall and flat. They have steep cliffs. The Grand Canyon is part of the Colorado Plateau.
