Remembering Pelé

Pelé was a famous soccer player. He grew up in the country of Brazil. He learned to play soccer as a young boy. He learned from his father. He also learned from playing with his friends.

He helped Brazil win the World Cup in soccer in 1958. He was only 17 years old when he played in the World Cup.

Pelé helped Brazil win the World Cup again in 1970. He was very happy to win the World Cup trophy. People remember his amazing soccer skills. He was a sports hero.

An earthquake and a huge ocean wave hit Japan in 2011. They caused a lot of damage. Pelé helped the Japanese people. He gave them blankets and other supplies. He gave soccer balls to children. Pelé died on December 29, 2022. He was 82 years old. People remember how much he helped people around the world.
