Patterns in the Sky

When you look up, you can see objects in the sky. We see some objects during the day and some objects at night. You can observe patterns in the sky. We see the Sun during the day. The Sun rises in the morning and sets in the evening.

The Sun gives us heat and light. When the Sun sets, the sky gets dark. Sometimes the Moon shines in the dark sky. We can see the Moon at night when there is no light from the Sun.

The Sun/Moon pattern repeats every day. When the Sun comes up, it lights the sky. Sometimes the moon is up during the day. The Sun and the Moon are always in the sky, even when we cannot see them.
What Do You Think? Would you like to look for Sun, Moon, or star patterns? Summer vacation is a fun time to look up at the sky and discover patterns.
