Morse code is a way to communicate. The code was invented by Samuel Morse. Morse code uses symbols. The symbols are dots and dashes. Each letter of the alphabet is a combination of dots and dashes.

Morse code can be communicated with a flashlight. The flashes of light represent a dot or a dash. A flash that lasts for one second is a dot. Flash the light three seconds for a dash.

On a dark summer night, you can use a flashlight. You can spell words with flashes of light. Morse code can be used to send a secret code to friends.
