Where on Earth Is the North Pole? -

It is December. You may hear stories about the North Pole. What is the North Pole? Where on Earth is the North Pole?

Pretend to draw a line through a globe. The North Pole will be at the top. It is the part of Earth that is farthest north. 

This is a walrus. It lives near the North Pole. Other animals include polar bears, narwhal, and beluga whales. Penguins do not live at the North Pole. They live at the South Pole.

This is the Northern Lights. Some types of light are attracted to the North Pole. This light makes pretty colors. The lights also look like they are dancing. People love to watch the Northern Lights.
