What Is Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park?

This building was a school. Now it is a national park. It is in Kansas. You can visit the park. You can learn about history there. You can see a classroom from 1954!

Long ago, school was different. Many Black children and White children went to different schools. Some places had laws to keep them in different schools. People thought the laws were unfair. They wanted to change these laws. In 1954, the laws were changed.

Today, people visit the park to learn. Some schools take field trips there! The park has a museum about schools in the past. You can learn about parents and children who worked to make schools better today.
