What Can Clouds Tell Us?

Clouds can be different shapes. They can be different sizes. Sometimes they look white and puffy. Other times they look dark and gray.

Clouds are made of tiny drops of water or ice in the air. They form when air rises and cools. This makes the water in the air change into a liquid.

Clouds can tell us about the weather. Thin, wispy clouds mean good weather. Puffy, white clouds mean good weather too. But tall, dark, puffy clouds mean storms are coming. A blanket of flat, gray clouds can bring rain or snow.
