Where on Earth Is Guatemala?

The world has lots of exciting places. One exciting place is Guatemala! Let’s find out more about it. 

Guatemala is a country in Central America. Guatemala shares a border with Mexico. People in Guatemala speak many languages. A lot of people speak Spanish. Other people speak Maya. 

Guatemala has lots of volcanoes. Antigua is a city in Guatemala. The city has four volcanoes nearby. Some of them are active. That means the volcanoes could erupt. But don’t worry! Most eruptions are too small to put people in danger.

Some people work in cities. Some people work in the country. Workers in Guatemala make many things. They grow coffee beans and bananas. Maybe food in your supermarket is from Guatemala!
