Honoring the Life of Former President Jimmy Carter

Jimmy Carter was the 39th President of the United States. He died on Sunday, December 29. Let’s find out more about him. 

Jimmy Carter was from Georgia. He was born in 1924. He was president from 1977 to 1981. He was a peanut farmer. He also served in the US Navy.

President Carter worked for peace. He helped leaders from Israel and Egypt make an agreement. He believed that all people deserved rights.

Carter loved to help others. He built homes for people in need. He continued to help people long after he was president. He lived to be 100 years old! His life teaches us how leaders can make people’s lives better.
