Festival Fun in Texas! 

March is a special time in Texas. There are festivals all across the state.

In Galveston there’s a big party called Mardi Gras. It lasts for two weeks. People watch parades. They catch beads thrown from floats. There is also music, dancing, food, and fun!

Dallas has a flower festival. It’s called Dallas Blooms. It takes place in a big, beautiful garden. People go to see thousands of flowers in bloom. They enjoy the spring weather. They also take lots of pictures.

There’s even a festival for onions! It’s in Weslaco. If you go, you can try lots of foods made with onions. You can watch an onion-eating contest. There are also rides and music.
