The Wolf Pack

A wolf pack is a wolf family. The mom and dad are leaders. Pups are born every spring. Wolves stay in the pack until they are two or three years old. Packs might also include aunts and uncles. Packs can have from two to 15 wolves.

Wolf packs work as a team. They can hunt larger animals. They share the food.

While some wolves hunt, others babysit. They keep the pups safe. They teach them how to hunt.

What do you think? How is a human family like a wolf pack?
