Anna May Wong: An Inspiring Actress

Have you ever heard of Anna May Wong? She was a famous movie star long ago. She also was the first Chinese American to star in a movie. She was only 14 years old at the time!

Wong traveled to Europe to star in plays and movies there too. She worked very hard. She was admired for her talent. She was in a movie called Shanghai Express. It was one of her most popular movies. She starred in over 60 movies!

People today celebrate Anna May Wong. She is a role model for many Americans. She is honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Wong is also the first Asian American to appear on a US quarter!
