Where on Earth Is Portugal?

The world has lots of exciting places. One of those places is Portugal! Let’s find out more about it. 

Portugal is a country in Europe. It is across the Atlantic Ocean from the United States. Portugal is on a peninsula. A peninsula is land with water on three sides. Portugal shares a border with Spain.

Lisbon is the largest city in Portugal. It is also the capital. There are many things to see and do there. Rossio Square has stores and places to eat. While there, you can try a famous dessert. It’s called a pastel de nata!

Óbidos is a very old town. It has a castle and many old buildings. The town is surrounded by a big wall. People in Óbidos love to read. It has many bookstores!
