The United States of America became a country on July 4, 1776. We celebrate America’s birthday every year on July 4th. But some birthdays are extra special.

America turned 100 in 1876. There was a big fair. People came from all over.
America turned 200 in 1976. There was a museum on a train. It went across the country. It stopped in different places. Many people visited the museum. They saw things from America’s history.
In 2026, America will be 250 years old. The party will be the biggest yet!

Of course, there will be fireworks! But there are other things planned, too.
- America’s Field Trip: This is a contest for kids. They can win trips to fun places. They might visit Mount Rushmore or the Statue of Liberty.
- The Great American Road Trip: Families can take a road trip. There’s a website to help plan the trip.
- America Gives: This program is about helping others. A website shows people how they can help in their community.
These are just a few of the plans. Visit the website america250.org to find out more.
