Can the Color of Your Clothes Affect How Hot You Get?

The Sun gives off both light and heat. We can see the light. When the Sun is not out, it is dark. But when the Sun comes up, it is light.
We can feel the Sun’s heat. If you sit in the sunlight, you get hotter than in the shade.

Dark colors absorb [take in] more sunlight. They absorb more heat too. You get hotter.
Light colors reflect [bounce off] more sunlight. They reflect more heat too. You stay cooler.
