World Cleanup Day

Every year, people all over the world join together for World Cleanup Day. This is a special day to help our Earth. Some people pick up trash. Some people recycle. Some people plant trees. They all have the same goal. They want to keep our planet clean.

World Cleanup Day started almost 20 years ago. It started in a small country called Estonia. One day a lot of people got together. They picked up trash all over the country. People in other places thought it was a great idea. Soon, many countries started having cleanup days.

Now World Cleanup Day happens every year. People all over the world join in on September 20. You can join in, too! You can pick up trash in your neighborhood. You can recycle. You can learn about ways to keep the Earth clean. Every little bit helps!
