Know That State: Minnesota

Minnesota is a beautiful state. It has many lakes and forests. Winters are cold and snowy. People go ice fishing and skiing. Summers are warm. People go hiking and swimming.
Minnesota is home to many gray wolves. Years ago, there were not many wolves left. But people protected them. Now the state has many wolves again.

People call Minnesota the Land of 10,000 Lakes. The state’s biggest lake is Lake Superior. It’s also the biggest freshwater lake in the world.

The two biggest cities are Minneapolis and St. Paul. They are very close together. People call them the Twin Cities.
Another city is Bloomington. The Mall of America is there. It is the biggest mall in America. There’s even an amusement park inside.
