Where on Earth Are Milan and Cortina?

This is the Olympic symbol. The Winter Olympics take place this February. Two cities will host the games. They are Milan and Cortina. Let’s learn more about these cities.

Milan and Cortina are cities in Italy. They are 250 miles apart. Milan will host ice sports. These include hockey and skating. Milan is the second-largest city in Italy. Around 3.5 million people live there. The city is known for fashion. It has many famous buildings. This picture shows the Duomo di Milano Cathedral. This will be Milan’s first Olympics.

Cortina is a smaller town. It is in the Alps. The Alps are Europe’s largest mountain range. People come to Cortina to ski. Cortina hosted the Winter Olympics in 1956.
