Earth Day: Young People Against Climate Change

Earth Day is April 22. We think about how we can take care of the Earth. Climate change means the Earth is getting too warm. Read about young people who working against climate change!

Greta Thunberg was born in Sweden. She found out about climate change when she was eight. She wondered why people weren’t doing anything about it. When she was 15, Greta didn’t go to school. She made a sign that said, “School strike for climate.” She sat outside the building where the government met. She wanted them to stop global warming.

Less than a year later, people in 125 countries around the world marched! They want people to stop climate change.
