Women Leaders

This year, we will have the first female vice president of the United States! What other women leaders made history?

The governor is the leader of a state. Nellie Tayloe Ross was the first woman in the United States elected governor. Her husband was governor of Wyoming. He died. Ross became governor in his place. In 1924, she was elected for the job.
