Many communities have a special event in August. It’s called National Night Out.
National Night Out brings people together. It’s like a party in the community. People turn on their porch lights. They come outside. They have block parties and cook-outs. They watch movies and play games. Police officers spend time with people in the community.
Firefighters also come to National Night Out, too! It’s fun to sit on a fire truck.
