April is National Poetry Month. Some United States Presidents love poetry. Four Presidents had poets read when they took office. Who were some of the poets?
President Bill Clinton took office in 1993. He asked Maya Angelou to read a poem. The poem was about hope. Maya was a poet. She also fought for people’s rights. She worked with Martin Luther King, Jr.
