September 15th to October 15th is Hispanic Heritage Month. Hispanic-Americans are people whose ancestors came from Spanish speaking countries. Let’s celebrate Hispanic-Americans!
Sonia Maria Sotomayor is a Supreme Court Justice. Her parents came to New York from Puerto Rico. She helps decide if laws [rules set by the government] are fair. These decisions impact people today. They will also impact people in the future.
