September 15th to October 15th is Hispanic Heritage Month. Hispanic-Americans are people whose ancestors came from Spanish speaking countries. Let’s celebrate Hispanic-Americans!
Ellen Ochoa is a Mexican-American scientist and astronaut. She invented devices that help NASA [National Aeronautics and Space Administration]. The devices help look at images from outer space. In 1993, she became the first Hispanic woman to go to outer space.
